SusuanaLove Novel/Art Work: The Story of Jade-Pharrell

Hi Everyone

Todays post has been scheduled and Im actually writing this on Sunday. Ive been so busy, Ive (thank the Lord) found a job! as a waitress and waiting to hear if I have a second one. Ive also had my first live filming+photography job last night 0.o and boy that was tiresome and Ive spent all day editing exporting etc. I have work most of Today (Monday) so I wont be able to post this.

Anyway that's not what this is post is about, this post is about my story The story of Jade-Pharrell, one of the two main characters Jade-Pharrell is 7 years old today. I cant beieve I made this so long ago. Now I reviving and in my spare time trying hard to write the full novel that comes along side art work. The story is set on another world called Maya which legend say is linked to this world and other dimensions through portals, in the mountains that surround the flat island planet that only portal guardians can find. A child is born called Kim-Marie who has portal guardian powers but denies them. Her younger sister who she becomes guardian of after they become orphans, loves the tales of the portal guardian ancestors who it is rumoured to have. An evil source who is trying to get to this world steals and empowers the portal guardian mutation in Jade-Pharrell away and loses her on earth when Kim-Marie denies her power. Kim-Marie must comes to terms with her gifts to save the only family left and Jade-Pharrell must survive on her own while trying to recall the life she use to live while stranded on a foreign planet.

On the right is Jade-Pharrell after evil source partly transforms her. (she goes really pale and ghostly-like) The one the left is Kim-Marie

The theme for this would is neo-steam punk and so is the fashion, so I've been trying to work some designs for clothing.

SusuanaLove @ LCC Exhibition

Last night I went to the opening night of London College of Communication (which is part of University of the arts London) Art Foundation End of Year show. I had an amazing time and caught up with some art people I used to work with at college and made a  few contacts and saw some really cool pieces of work. This what I miss about London - the art! Well done to my mate Kezia Levitaz for her amazing work :)

Its a shame the the London college of arts wants to raise their fees like the rest of the  top London universities to £9000 a year (http://www.lcc.arts.ac.uk/40786.htm) they say like the rest that they will attempt provide a way for poorer students to still be able to study there but :/ i hoped to do a short course or a maybe a foundation in fashion photography at London college of fashion but who knows now :/
Hey on the upside I can always say I'm a completely self taught photographer :P SNAP!

SusuanaLove turns Art Tutor

Hi everyone, hope you having a nice week ^ ^
I've become the busiest bee now since the run up to moving out has come.

Anyway I gave my first private art lesson on Tuesday. Helped a potential GCSE Art Student and earnt a little money. It was a favour for a young friend really, and the only qualification  have towards it is my A in Art GCSE and B in Graphics Alevel.

First I made her draw mind map with all the things she like and she drew little thumbnail sketches of them. I thought it was good to mop out all the things she was passionate about, to work out what things she would like t draw the most and what sort of style she would like to draw in.

She really wanted to draw people and also like anime so I firt made her draw Drake. I taught her the rules about proportions of a face and so on and about shading.

Next we looks at anime features, we only had girls on to look at so I made her draw some male versions. Then we used them to draw an anime verison of drake.

All right for the first lesson I think, since at the beginning she didn't know how to draw lol
Homework: fill A3 with sketches of anime features :P

Fun Times :) Im going to leave you with Britain's most loved artist at the moment If you haven't heard already. Shes going to be huge! - Cher Lloyd and shes only 16!

Imagination relies on seeing what is not there but what could be :)

SusuanaLoves Spaceship

This is an outfit I've designed based on the song spaceship by Benny B featuring Kelis. I'm glad dance and electronic music is becoming more known outside. I think the video to is a bit of a green screen fail at times.

Anyway I created this look from a sweet futuristic fashion royalty look. Now I look at it she sorta looks like Keri Hilson meets Lady Gaga.

I like designing things but I doubt I can make half the things I design; I'm more of a customizer when it comes to textiles. )

Many of my followers are surprised by the fact I draw, lol there’s a lot more to come, pencil and paper are artistic foundations, who do you think did my header? ;) (Although technically that’s ink and paper lol)

Benny Benassi - "Spaceship" ft. kelis & Alp. de ap by Diamond Headphones

I’d also like take a quick moment to thank all my followers and people that read this blog or comment. I set this account up a long time ago but never used it, I didn’t think I could do this whole blogger thing, this is only my 13th post I've already befriended many great and interesting bloggers. I’m still new this BlogSpot thing and now that I'm following lots of people I appreciate it even more that you take the time and my sometimes very long blogs when I bet you have so many others on you reading list. Also Since I'm looking to go into the Media Industry I need experience communicating to a large audience and it’s nice to know people are actually reading and interested in what I write J

Oh and I designed my self a new logo!! ( becuse Im into graphic design and animation and stuff) I t would be nice to have some feed back :).

SusuanaLove’s James and the Giant Peach Corset

The artist site DeviantArt is doing a themed thing on James and the Giant Peach so I've been doing a few sketches in my sketch book.

But on Monday I first started to draw a mock up for a corset. When they first came into fashion I thought it was a bit like were your kinky underwear outside. But some these days are quite tasteful. A corset with a dinner jacket, or a pair of skinny jeans for going out; or for summer days with checked shirt, it’s workable. So I think I quite like them now, even though I don’t own one yet lol, I'm still picking.

Any way I started to draw this corset but then the James and the Giant Peach thing was on my mind so I started to draw my own version of that spider lady in the corset. While think James and the Giant Peach was a really creepy scary movie with ALLOT of ugly creatures and didn't make me like insects in the slightest bit. But the animation was amazing of Corse.

Here she is (not quite finished yet but I’m getting there)

2K10 SusuanaLove's No Outlines

No Outlines: You know when you draw cartoons, Manga etc, the black line around everything when its coloured; well at the end of 2009 I wanted to do something about that, and by 2010 it was gone. And all my digital art, involving character design had no black lines.

This idea first came to light when I was doing my Graphics A level course work piece. I remembered a animation that I used to watch on TV, it wasn’t that well know but the graphics and animation itself always stood out for Me. The animation was called Freefonix, a CGI animated television series about the adventures of fictional band of the same name. Freefonix, created by Magnus Fiennes, Alex Tate and Simeon Warburton, is produced by Richelle Wilder and Chris Rice for Cinnamon Entertainment with Method Films and Toonz Animation. Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd. is an animation company in India. It is the animation arm of the Singapore-based Toonz Group, which has diverse interests in production and distribution of live-action feature films, digital and gaming content, licensing and merchandising, and media-related education. Toonz Animation was started in 1999 by G. A. Menon and Bill Dennis, who had worked on Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Toonz is located in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), the capital city of Kerala. Its office is currently situated in the Technopark; it is expanding to a new 2.5-acre (10,000 m2) campus in the Kinfra Film and Video Park in Trivandrum. A VIDEO PARK! snm

Major projects on which Toonz has worked include The Adventures of Tenali Raman, Hanuman, Freefonix, Wolverine and the X-Men, and Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight. With around 400 employees from across the world, Toonz is now working on a 3-D film titled The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, which is due to be released in 2010.

Humans don’t have black outlines around them. When I got rid of the lines getting rid of them made them look less 2D. I started of redesigning the two main Character of The Story of Jade-Pharrell. It was interesting how the chararter feature were so alike but colour made all the difference.
After that, I moved on to redesigning DreamStone, which took much longer and still isn’t totally finished. What can I say, I'm a perfectionist.
