This idea first came to light when I was doing my Graphics A level course work piece. I remembered a animation that I used to watch on TV, it wasn’t that well know but the graphics and animation itself always stood out for Me. The animation was called Freefonix, a CGI animated television series about the adventures of fictional band of the same name. Freefonix, created by Magnus Fiennes, Alex Tate and Simeon Warburton, is produced by Richelle Wilder and Chris Rice for Cinnamon Entertainment with Method Films and Toonz Animation. Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd. is an animation company in India. It is the animation arm of the Singapore-based Toonz Group, which has diverse interests in production and distribution of live-action feature films, digital and gaming content, licensing and merchandising, and media-related education. Toonz Animation was started in 1999 by G. A. Menon and Bill Dennis, who had worked on Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Toonz is located in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum ), the capital city of Kerala. Its office is currently situated in the Technopark; it is expanding to a new 2.5-acre (10,000 m2) campus in the Kinfra Film and Video Park in Trivandrum . A VIDEO PARK! snm
Major projects on which Toonz has worked include The Adventures of Tenali Raman, Hanuman, Freefonix, Wolverine and the X-Men, and Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight. With around 400 employees from across the world, Toonz is now working on a 3-D film titled The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, which is due to be released in 2010.
Humans don’t have black outlines around them. When I got rid of the lines getting rid of them made them look less 2D. I started of redesigning the two main Character of The Story of Jade-Pharrell. It was interesting how the chararter feature were so alike but colour made all the difference.
After that, I moved on to redesigning DreamStone, which took much longer and still isn’t totally finished. What can I say, I'm a perfectionist.
