SusuanaLove's Tricia Gosingtian

Fashion photography is more than taking a picture of someone wearing an ensemble of clothes. There’s an art to it. Fair do theres isn't MUCH art involved in regular studio catalogue snaps ect. But I think a concept and how the photo is taken makes the photography an art piece as well as the fashion itself.

There’s many great fashion photographers in the world but for now I'm just going to introduce you to one that I came a across in my early days (when I started to have an interest in photography in general). Tricia Gosingtian, Filipino- Chinese from Manila is a professional photographer and an occasional model and stylist. I think she has recently graduated and now has a degree in Fine Arts Major in Information Design from the Ateneo de Manila University.

The first time I became aware of her was on Deviant Art a few years ago. Her large Galley shows how she has developed as a fashion and conceptual photographer. Her early work looks more like good every day snaps with a DSLR, but she gets better and her work becomes to look more thought about. It still got that fresh modern fast paced edge though; and a crisp DSLR finish, but not you average DSLR snaps. I hope I’m explaining this properly. Check out the links at the end of the post :)

Thankyou Tricia for letting me use your pictures
